Can staining be done on wooden stairs?
Yes, wooden floors and wooden stairs can be both stained in the same way. Once the area is sanded to a smooth finish we can apply several samples of different colours on your stairs so you can choose the colour that best matches teh rest of your flooring.

Bear in mind that stairs and banisters restoration is a more time consuming compared to restoration of other areas of wooden flooring as majority of the work needs to be done manually. It also requires a great deal of care and attention to details, therefore it is always a good idea to leave this to a professionals like Floorworks™ Sanding Company instead of trying to do it yourself.

Some blobs are showing on my recently varnished wooden floors. Can you help?
Hi and I am sorry to hear that you didn't achieve the effect that you wanted. Floor restoration can looks easy before you start doing it and later you may realise that it actually requires previous experience to avoid situations like yours.
From what you are describing it sounds like there was not sufficient and perfect bonding between the different coats of floor varnish or between the first coat of floor varnish and the timber. This usually happens when the floor surface was not perfectly smooth and clean before the application of varnish or when the previous sealant was not completely sanded down before the new varnish was applied. The only solution would be to sand and varnish the flooring again to ensure a smooth sanded surface and a proper application of the coats of varnish on top. However, you need to check to make sure that your floors have sufficient thickness of solid wood as a top layer to allow for additional sanding to take place.

Can you supply matching flooring for floor repairs?
In most cases when floor repairs are required we can supply same age of parquet flooring blocks, solid or engineered wood flooring planks. In some cases we may need to produce planks or blocks from same timber material, to match the existing flooring.
If we cannot find the same product or material, we can supply the closest timber and do a close colour match with floor staining.
